Revised enduring understanding

In my current enduring understanding, I used my teaching point as the guidelines on what to teach to the students and the expected outcome from them. My unit plan for year 2 students learning phonics phase 2 sounds is more detailed and is based on my daily timetable. Preparations and materials needed are noted as well.

In my revised enduring understanding (Phonics phase 2 sounds are the building blocks of reading and writing. By the end of this unit, students are expected to demonstrate proficiency in sounding, recognizing, correctly identifying, blending, and segmenting sounds to form words and sentences

I added the enduring understanding aside from the teaching point. Introduction to the topic is written in order. Several activities are provided with a recap at the end of the lesson to check the students' understanding. I added extension work for early finishers.

I added enduring understanding to emphasize the essential knowledge that students should learn from the given topic.
